Dc Fridge specialises in the sale and repair of the top brand ice-Makers to suit the Marine and Rv industry and are an Australian warranty service agent for U-line icemakers, Vitrifrigo Ice-makers and Isotherm. Our technicians have over 20 year’s experience in refrigeration and ice-makes sales and repairs, including Vitrifrigo and Uline icemaker repairs and spare parts.
The USA Made U-line range of ice-makers and ice-maker fridge combos offers a larger range of units to suit most production needs. The constant flow ice-makers, like the Isotherm or Brema, produce a crystal clear and clean ice cube. The only problem with this style of machine is the extra use of water. The Vitrifrigo range of ice maker, the IM and IX range offer two size mounting options for space saving and produce ice very quickly. The Raritan ice maker is still available in Australia and is found in many vessels around the country. DC fridge carries a large range of spares to suit the Raritan Icerette in both 240V and 115V. We also carry the complete Ice-Maker. If you can’t find the ice maker or ice-maker parts you need, contact DC Fridge and just ask.
There are almost as many different icebox configurations as there are different sailboats. There are, however, a few that are the most common and many others are just variables of these. The first and most common configuration is a single box with a top opening lid. Depending on the volume of the box, it is usually converted with a small or large vertical mount evaporator. If it is a front opening box, it is more common to install a horizontal mount evaporator. The main difference between the two is the horizontal mount unit has a door to help retain the contents. Either unit will serve as a small freezer while refrigerating the rest of the box.
We stock a large range of spare parts for leading brand fridges and freezers, Danfoss compressors and cooling units. We also arrange prompt ordering and fast delivery of non-stock items, seconds and rare spares.
To help you find what you are looking for we have added parts breakdown PDF sheets to most units. You can find these, as well as installation and user guides, on each product page. If you need more information call1300 668 293 so one of our experienced technicians can help.
Door seals are a common problem. Door seal issues are a common cause of icing-up and poor performance when ice insulates the thermostat and sends a false temperature reading.
Our technicians repair all makes and models of portable fridges and camping fridges including the massive range of Chinese portable fridges that have recently flooded the Australian market.
When buying a portable fridge it is important to do your homework as sometimes it is impossible to get spares for cheaper brands of portable fridges, sometimes you can’t even find a brand name to chase up spares so I suggest you stick to the big names. It may cost a little more but what’s a broken down fridge worth at Easter on your once a year camping trip. Brands like EvaKool, Waeco (over 50 Litre) Primus, Indel, Fridgemate and Bushman all use Secop (Danfoss) 12/24 volt compressors, either BD50 or the BD35. Spare parts are readily available Australia wide for these types of camping fridges so choose your camping fridge wisely. Engel has also a very good reputation among campers and offer a sturdy well-built portable fridge with many add-ons and options.
